Terms of use
Draft of 28 October 2026, to be reviewed by a lawyer before public launch.
Who we are
Forward Works is operated by Forward Works Register, a sole trader in Victoria, Australia. These terms apply to the website at forwardworks.com.au, the free preview, the subscription and the weekly email.
What the service is
Forward Works collects facts from public council records (meeting minutes and contract registers) and presents them with links to the documents they came from. It is an information service. It is not procurement advice, legal advice or a recommendation to tender, and it is not a tender portal.
No guarantee of outcomes
We make no promise that any contract will be re-tendered, that any tender will be run or won, or that any council will act in any particular way. Status labels describe evidence we hold, not predictions. Estimated dates are estimates, labelled as such, with their working shown. You should check the source document before you act on anything you read here.
Accuracy and completeness
We take care to record facts as councils publish them and we re-check our extraction against hand-researched records, but council documents contain errors, councils change their publications, and some councils do not publish or block automated reading. The register is not a complete list of council contracts. Where we know of a gap we say so.
Your account
The free trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. After it, a subscription costs the price shown on the pricing page, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for and no further charge is made. If no card is added when a trial ends, the account is paused, not deleted. Founding members keep the founding price for as long as they stay subscribed.
Acceptable use
Your subscription is for your business. Please don’t resell the register, republish it in bulk, or use automated tools to copy it. Linking to a page or quoting a fact with its source is fine.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the information here. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may change these terms; we will email subscribers before a change that affects them takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
